A brief history of the Gnati (Caste) and Vadi (Hall)

It is indeed our proud privllege to record briefly the history of our gnati’s wadi. We are very happy to pay high tribute to Late Sheth Shri Chunilal Nagindas Chinai who is the founder father of the wadi. It was because of his most sincere, honest, dedicated hard work with love and concern for fellow caste brethren he built the wadi in 1907. To day, its economical value is many folds high but its social utility value is immeasurable. We all are indebted to the Great man and his family members who kept on donating handsomely for the gnati cause. We would love to pay high respects to them by remembering them for the benefit of younger readers as follows:

Sheth Shri Jivanal Chunilal Chinai & Sheth Shri Manekial Chunilal Chinai
Sheth Shri Kanaiyala Maneklal Chinai, Sheth Shri Anilbhai Jeshingbhai Chinai,
Sheth Shri Ramanbhai Bhogilal Chinai, Sheth Shri Jeshingbhai Bhogilal Chinai,
Sheth Shri Chandulal Bhogilal Chinai, Sheth Shri Natvarlal Maneklal Chinai,

The Chinais have donated profusely not only to the gnati but also to our Education Society and for the Chinai Maternity home in Sheth  V.S. Gen. Hospital for privlleged use of D.D.gnati fellows. In the fond memory of his father Shri Jivanlal Chinai, the worthy son- Shri Rasikbhai donated Rs. 1.50 lacs for the man path he had built up for many other caste fellows to follow the suit.

We would also like to put on record the names of the follwing Gnati- Bandhus who have contributed whole-heartedly for construction and maintenance of the vadi.

In 1994, during very heavy rainfall, the wadi collapsed resulting into huge economical loss. Cometh the hour and cometh the man. Forward came Shri Maheshchandra Baldevdas Parikh with donation of  Rs. 1.00 lac deluting our tension. The damaged part was repaired.
